What symbol--mathematical or otherwise--would you choose to represent yourself or your view of life?
Please elaborate on why the symbol is an accurate representation of you or what you believe. Also, out of curiosity, would you tattoo this symbol on your body?
What follows is the response from puppylover28:
If I got to choose a symbol, I would choose the Christian fish symbol to show my deep trust and faith in Jesus Christ. In Bible times, Christianity was illegal. If a follower spoke to someone they would draw the fish in the sand with a staff. If the other person drew another fish in the sand they were safe to talk to. This secret sign kept Christians safe.

For a tattoo that would represent me would be a hollow-point bullet because it is changeing as it flys through the air.I think of the bullet as me going through life as it travels through the air.As it mushrooms I think of it as me getting older. Then when it hits something it stops and life for me ends.
The tattoo to represent me is the pie sign. That would be mine because the bottem 2 lines are my long thin legs and the top line is the flow of when i dance. Thats what my mom thinks of when she thinks about me. No I would not draw the pie sign on my body.
If I had to symbolize myself, then I would be infinity, factorial because I am always getting older, just like infinity, factorial is always getting larger. And I would not draw on myself especially a real tattoo.
I think I could be represented by a purple ribbon (like the ribbon for breast cancer). The purple ribbon is for pancreatic cancer. I think of myself like this beacaus people who have this cancer never stop. By saying "never stop" Im saying they never stop beliving. They never give up on life. They always keep going. And I hope I can be like them all of my life. And if you look at the ribbon there is a circle in the middle, and a circle is never ending. Like there spirits.
My life is like the infinity sign because EVERYTHING is changing.
My life is also like the factorials because the higher you go in numbers which is like going in age everything gets bigger.
I actualy think that a zig-zag line is the right symbol for me.This is because shapes and lines interest me.I realy think that when I see them that they look like the coolest things on the planet. They just amaze and hook me on their unique display of diagonal lines.Oh, and I would draw this on me!
I would put a football with two skis and a baseball with a soccer ball. Also a basketball. It would represent of what sports I love. I would put the tatoo on my body.
For a mathematical sign I would put a = sign because you should enjoy your life equally and enjoy the earth God has created and enjoy the time your on it because at some point you'll pass on.I'm not trying to be morbid but it's the truth. If I were to use a random sign for myself I would put a baseball because of my love for the game. I mean, I know the teams,I know the stats, I know the players and I even know the history of it.I think it's such a addicting game. And i would not,and I repeat NOT, put it on my body of as a tattoo.
If i was going to put a sign for me i would do a +.Because i always have love i mean love to add friend and family on to me.
I would put the positive symbol for me .I chose this symbol because I always look at the positive side of things. When you are positive it inspires others to be positive. I also believe that by being positive it helps you to achieve goals.I would never put this symbol as a tattoo on my body.
My sign would be the multiplication sign. It would be that because I like to see things in a different perspective and watch things multiply. Would I ever tattoo this symbol on my body? I say yes and no because my mom and dad would never let me get a tattoo.
Yes would be if I really believed in something then I would get a tattoo.
The symbol I would use is the greater than sign (>) because I am a small person but I can do bigger things. No I would not puta tattoo of this symbol on me.
mine would be = because the lines are parallel and there is an event in gymnastics.
( to add on to my other post) called parallel bars.
How I am enjoying reading these comments!
I like that your "you" symbols reflect your interests--like hunting, dancing, and playing sports--because I am learning more about your lives outside of school as I read.
I also see a thread of thoughtful truth running through your comments--an understanding that our human lives are fleeting, and that each of us is the determiner of our own attitudes and our own accomplishments.
Eleanor Roosevelt spoke much about living life fully, and she left us many inspiring quotes that align with your comments. One such quote is: "The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience."
I hope for each of you that outlook.
My sign would be a -7 because my life is very negative, and, using Tess's code, G would be 7. I would draw this on my body- in marker, of course.
If I had my own sign it would be a bunch of lines jumbled up in a circle because if you follow one line you will eventually mess up and end up on a totaly different line. So in simple words its random where you end up like my life.
If I had to choose a symbol I would choose
rachel to the power of 3 or I would do the positive sign because I am always happy with everything I do because i like mostly everything! I would not get it as a tattoo because you will be stuck with it forever and I would not like that.
If I had to choose a symbol I would choose a cross because Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Also, a cross is shaped like a plus sign and it shows I am a positive person. I would not tattoo this on my body because it would be on me forever and I wouldn't be able to get it off.
As my symbol of life I think that mine would be the PI sign(3.14). Because my dad says from how smart I am, and how exrtaordinary, and more complex I am that my symbol would be that..I do think that I would tattoo this on my body so that people could see I am described. I would not make it VERY visible, I would probably put it on my ankle or wrist.
i think i could be represented by a big smiley face because i like to smile. i would not put this on my body because i like my body just the way it is.
My sign would be a monkey with a jaguar because I am very playful and very sweet because I make friends with my enemies.
Yes I would like to tattoo this on my body, but not a real one, one kind of like Tess's because she drew it on herself with ink. I might change my mind in my lifetime.
I would probably have a plus(mathematical terms)/cross(religious terms). Plus to show my life always has something new in it. The cross to show that I will always believe in Jesus Christ.
