What does the quote in Ms. Hussey's classroom mean?

Tommy notices quotes decorating the walls in Ms. Hussey's classroom.  One of the quotes, from John Dewey, says: "Art is the most effective mode of communication that exists."  Do you agree with Mr. Dewey? Please explain why or why not.

Yes, because art sometimes shows emotion, surprise and feelings that happened in the artists life

Yes, because art can have a story and talk in many ways.

Maybe, maybe not. There are hundreds of ways to communicate, if not thousands. How could we know them all and if another is more effective. It all depends on the person.

I agree with all of you. But i say yes because in art you can see emotion and facial expressions,in words you can not.

I affirm that artists can show countless feelings in all kinds of art. Such as: Artists communicate through what they have made like, an artist can show they are happy by using bright colors. Maybe if that person is sad they could use dark gloomy colors.

This is from Acacia:
Art can speak as humans do, although not living can mean a lot of things in different ways. Art can be hidden and visible depending on how you look at it. Art can be someone's life and people's only need in life. While other people could care less.

I like that you are discussing how colors express mood and and how faces express emotion, as well as how people communicate in different ways and how people value art to different degress.
How are words limiting in a way that pictures are not?

I agree with John Dewy because art can show emotion . I also agree with him because humans have used art to communicate for thousands of years . For example, the egyptions used hyrogliphs to tell stories .
